How to get a book review on The Tattooed Book
Getting a book reviewed can be tough, especially if you’re self-published. Thanks to this, I am overwhelmed by the number of emails I receive from publishers and authors, asking if I can review books.
To begin with, I would accept everything. For any other starting reviewers out there – I do not recommend this. The pressure and potential for burnout and losing your love for reading is massive. Having learnt that lesson the hard way, I had to put some rules in place. This stops me from getting overwhelmed and also minimises the chance of disappointing anyone.
My book review rules
- It has to be published and physically available in UK bookshops
- If you want a review published on a specific date, contact me at least 2 months before
- Please provide a hi-res book cover image
- I will always prefer a physical copy, but will accept digital if necessary.
